Safety First!We want everyone to have a fabulous, memorable evening at this year's Danville Hot Summer Nights Hot Rod and Classic Car Show! THIS IS YOUR SHOW TOO........HELP US KEEP IT SAFE FOR ALL TO ENJOY. IF YOU SEE SOMETHING THAT LOOKS WRONG........REPORT IT IMMEDIATELY TO EVENT STAFF PERSONNEL OR OUR POLICE OFFICERS ON DUTY. HELP US.......YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. There will be no drinking in the streets or carrying of open or concealed containers of alcohol. Drugs or smoking pot is prohibited and illegal and will be reported immediately by our volunteer staff to the police. Please help us keep the streets clean. Use receptacles and recycling containers. There is no rough-housing. Please report any problem you see directly to a YELLOW SHIRTED VOLUNTEER! We will address and handle any problem immediately. There is no roller skating, biking or skate boarding allowed on our show venue. Please do not touch any show car. Also if you have a stroller, please don't squeeze it in between parked cars........a scratch could be costly and may seriously upset a show car owner! Never sit in a show car unless invited to do so by the owner himself! Please keep pets away from show cars and don't let your pooch jump on a car. Only authorized vendors and sponsors are allowed to set up booths during the show. Squatters will be removed! Unauthorized hand outs and solicitations are prohibited and violators will be asked to cease or will be removed. 'Show Cars' are not allowed to burn rubber or drive recklessly or play loud music. There will be no revving of motors for the purpose of show boating once parked. Cars are not allowed to leave once they enter the show and are park. The show ends at 9 PM. Volunteers will be issued professional walkie talkie radios for fast communication to management and emergency services. Police, Fire, and Medical AssistanceThe Danville Police and Fire/Rescue personnel are truly the Finest! This is a family event for all to enjoy and when we deal with crowds that may swell to 15,000 guests per night, we want to be prepared for any unexpected emergency. A full team of police, fire and medics have partnered with us to ensure that your visit is a safe one. Safety is our first priority. |
